The formal and aesthetic approach seeks to reflect this treatment through two key elements. On one hand, the sculpture is inspired by the pure geometrical lines of art deco, as seen in the herringbone patterns on the tail. And on the other, with the chosen decoration like the deep black, the pearly grey used to paint the countless “pearls” adorning it and the sapphire blue eyes, framed in golden luster. Highlights include the minutest of details such as the antlers of the reindeer or their legs, the skates of the sled, the small toys, or even the small leather pompom on Santa Claus’ hat. His facial expression is happy and smiling. Worth noting is the decoration of the sides of the sleigh, where the mistletoe motifs on a dark brown and green background have been reflected with red beads.
